Advocacy for the Things That matter
Every place, no matter how great, needs a champion for the issues that matter to us most. Sterling’s platform aims to make and keep Ajax a safe, welcoming town for businesses and residents alike. A place for all to grow and prosper.
Your Voice for Affordability
Financial Accountability And Transparency
Advancing the implementation of the Region’s Auditor General’s Office will strengthen oversight, ensure the responsible use of public funds, and minimize waste, and will overall benefit the Town as a whole. This would also advocate for procurement practices that prioritize Canadian/Ontario/Durham Region companies.
Your Voice for Public Safety
Road Safety
In order to combat the rise of accidents across the region, safer roads through a re-implementation of road safety measures will combat this issue that is affecting all of Ward 2.
Effective Police Services
Along with road safety, a streamlined police force that represents your community and is respectful of your tax dollars will allow communities alike to feel protected responsibly
Your Voice for Community Living
A Ban On AI Data Centres
As Ajax continues to grow, we need to be cautious and aware of the evergrowing establishment of AI and how data centres can negatively affect the environment and communities living around it which is why I have decided to propose a ban on construction or development of AI Data Centres in Ajax.
Effective Parking System
Along with the growth, the Town needs more access to accommodating parking spaces so a fully implemented long-term on-street residential parking system can allow this to happen effectively.
Your Voice for Information and Communications Technology
Easier Access and Interaction With The Town
Mobile devices play an integral role in our daily lives. The Mobile-First Ajax initiative will utilize our digital infrastructure to help make it easier and more accessible to interact with the Town of Ajax. I envision a one-stop tool that will allow Ajax residents to pay for and manage all services provided by the Town through their personal devices.
